Chiroubles is a Cru that is certainly less mentioned, even though the wines are absolutely outstanding. One of the smallest Crus in Beaujolais, Chiroubles borders the prestigious Crus of Morgon and Fleurie.

Moulin-à-Vent literally translates into English as ‘Windmill.’ The windmill, which has sat atop the hill since the 15th century, is classified as a historical monument and a popular photo spot.

Chénas is the smallest of all the Beaujolais crus, yet it produces very unique and exciting wines that are a delight to drink. Originally, the region was covered with oak trees before being planted with grape vines.

The significance of Juliénas as a winemaking region dates back 2,000 years (…) The rich history of producing fine wines for two centuries was intriguing enough to anticipate my exploration of this region.

For those accustomed to enjoying wine, Saint Amour is likely a familiar cru you’ve encountered or tasted before. Its popularity, especially during the Valentine’s Day season, is attributed to its name.

Why not assign reasons and purposes to drinking? As I delved into wines around the world, I made a decision: in 2024, I will be focusing on one particular region—Beaujolais.
